It’s important to keep checking your tanks for any signs of corrosion or leaks. Failure to notice these signs could lead to contaminants getting into your tanks. This could lead to workers or the general public using the water from your tanks to catch Legionnaires’ Disease. Contaminated water also harbours pathogens like E.Coli, Pseudomonas, and other harmful bacteria that cause gastrointestinal issues, skin infections, and respiratory problems.

Tank Covers

By using a tank cover, you are stopping any contaminants from entering your tank. This also protects your tank from temperature fluctuations, algae buildup and UV Damage. This is highly recommended, and when we install new tanks we will install covers as standard.

Use of Filters

By installing filters at entry points, you are preventing sediment and other particulates from entering the tank. Additionally, from a health and safety point of view, filters help remove harmful bacteria, cysts, and parasites. By using filters you are also prolonging your tanks and other components lifespan.

Monitor Water Quality

It’s very important that you regularly test your water quality. You should be checking your pH Levels, bacterial contamination and other quality indicators.

We manage a large residential block and recently reached out to Echo to quote to reline two water tanks that were failing. An absolute fantastic service all round. A quote was received within a day or so. Works were booked in and communication was excellent. We were really impressed with the engineers on the day. They communicated well on the day in terms of the plan of action. Once the work was complete, they ensured all areas were left clean and tidy. A follow up report post works was sent very soon after the works.

I contacted Echo Square on behalf of a client of mine who urgently needed her Victorian underground Cistern re lined. The work was quoted for promptly and the work carried out to a high standard by the engineers who were courteous and friendly despite their long drive to site.
